Urgent appointments

To request an urgent appointment (for medical problems that must be seen that day) for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday) during opening times:

The receptionist will take your details and a clinician will ring you back. If appropriate you will then be booked into a same day emergency appointment with an advanced nurse practitioner. We request patients call as early as possible so we can help triage you as quickly and safely as possible.

Please be aware this service is for urgent medical problems only. Medication requests and blood results should be managed by our receptionists in the usual way.

Home visits

It is always preferable for patients to be seen at the surgery where we have full access to medical records including results and hospital letters. We can also examine the patient more thoroughly and have all equipment available. In addition there is access to other surgery staff and emergency equipment.

If it is impossible for you to attend the surgery because your medical condition prevents you from travelling and you feel you need a home visit, please phone the surgery before 11am to make your request. The doctor may ring first to find the most appropriate way to help you.

Important: Important

If possible, please try to attend the surgery as this makes the most effective use of the doctors time.
